The consultation process is facilitated by Soundings and involves the community as proposals are developed.
Since August 2014 we have been meeting with local groups and organisations to discuss the project further; identify how local issues, needs and aspirations may have changed; and to make sure we are reaching the community the best we can.
In mid-September 2014, we held the first public consultation events to introduce the whole team and share initial ideas for how the scheme could be updated.
These conversations continued in December with ‘Exchange & Explore’ sessions to look in more depth at key issues raised through the consultation. Additionally, the Community Reference Group has been meeting to discuss key issues and opportunity for involvement.
Most recently, we held events in March 2015 to share the Masterplan updates before the final plans were submitted for planning in May 2015. Lewisham Council will also carry out Statutory Consultation on the Planning Application.
Throughout the process, all feedback and ideas have been shared and discussed with Lend Lease and the design team to help inform the updates.
A Clear Record
Soundings produce and publish transparent records of the process, findings and masterplan recommendations.
Reports at each stage of the consultation have combined to produce a Statement of Community Involvement – a public planning document, which provides a thorough account of the consultation process and its impact on the design and project development.

Business skills workshops
In addition to consultation, Lend Lease are offering a series of free business-skills workshops in partnership with Greenwich Cooperative Development Agency (GCDA), accompanied by a drop in advisory session. This will be the first commitment to the local area to encourage business enterprise by creating an atmosphere where potential and small business can flourish. For full details you can download the flyer here.
If you are interested in attending the workshops, please register with Sergio at the GCDA by calling 020 8269 4880 or emailing Sergio@gcda.org.uk
